In China, state media report that Premier Wen Jiabao says his government will protect Chinese exporters by not letting the value of China's money rise. The Chinese leader has been attending an import and export event in the city of Guangzhou. Chinese media say he called for stronger effort to fight increasing measures by international government to protect national economies from world markets. The United States has long accused China of keeping the value of yuan low, so China's exports will be more competitive on world market.
