"Champon"

This is a kind of a noodle named "Champon"(チャンポン). It is formed of comparatively thin noodle, pig-bone based soup and many sliced vegetables.

It is a popular food in Kyushu area, especially Nagasaki prefecture.(It is difficult to find it in other area.)

There is a recent word in Japan what people say "B-kyu- gurume"B-kyu-gurume"(B級グルメ)is a recently coined word in Japan that means "not expensive, but delicious and popular among ordinary people. "Champon" is one of "B-kyu-gurume", I think, and I like it very much.

I think I've eaten Champon before. Whatever the case, it sure looks good!

By the way, "There is a recent word in Japan what people say 'B-kyu- gurume'" might sound better like this: "B-kyu-gurume is a recently coined word in Japan that means ..."

Jon san

I have learned a new good word "to coin". Thanks.

This photo is the best one that a small restaurant in my neighborhood serves. If you have a chance to visit my area, I will take you to eat it.

I'll keep that in mind! It would be great to meet you in person, too!
