VOA Special English News 86

President Obama has promised to improve the country's tourism industry. He made the announcement at Disney World in southern state of Florida. Disney World is one of the most visited places in the United States. Mr. Obama announced a new program to make getting visitor visas faster, especially for visitors from China and Brazil. Increasing wealth in both countries is quickly increasing the number of Chinese and Brazilians who are traveling to the United States. The President also promised to increase the number of countries whose citizens will not need tourism visas to enter the United States.

My thought/opinion on this issue
Tourism industry can easily bring money to a country from foreign countries. Depending on it shows that  economic in US has been weakened, I think.

"made announced"
--> made the announcement

"at the Disney World"
--> at Disney World

"for a travel to the United States"
--> who are traveling to the United States

"President"
--> "The President"
The "the" is pretty subtle.

This will hopefully give the U.S. economy some extra oomph. ("Oomph," pronounced "oomf," kind of means 勢い in this context.)

Jon-san,

Thank you for correcting my English. This time, I made several mistakes. I have to be more careful to listen to the programs.
