The UN has declared Nov. 10 "Malala day"

The United Nations has declared November 10 "Malala Day". The declaration honors the 15-year-old Pakistani school girl Malala Yousafzai who was shot in the head and the neck by the Taliban last month. Pakistani students and rights activists honored Malala on Thursday in the events in Karachi and other cities. In her home town Mingola in the northwestern Swat Valley, hundreds of students prayed for her early recovery and promised to continue her work. Malala is now recovering from her wounds at a hospital in Britain. And doctors expect her to make a good recovery.
