Iran's top leader warned Friday that his country will answer measures designed to harm Iran's oil industry and threats of an attack by Israel. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Western-supported oil sanction will have no effect on Iran's decision to continue its nuclear program. He also said Iran will support any nation or group that wants to oppose Israel. American media have reported that Defense Secretary Leon Pannetta fears that Israel could strike Iran in the next few months.

My thought/opinion on this issue
Iran's recent situation is a little bit similar to the Japan's situation before the World War 2, I think.  At that time, Japan had been isolated from international community. Finally, Japan had chosen starting a war to break the bad situation.

threats of attack
--> threats of an attack
Both ways are okay, but he actually said the one with "an."

Western supported oil sanction
-->Western-supported oil sanctions
The hyphen is a pretty fine point, but I thought that I would go ahead and correct that too. I think that many Americans would make the same oversight. As you're probably aware, the hyphen links the two terms because they can be considered something of a multi-term adjective.

Jon-san,

Thank you for a comment. This time I did not think of the use of hyphen.
