In China, the brother of the lawyer, Gao Zhisheng says the famous dissident is being held in the Shaya County Prison in the far western province of Xinjiang. Gao Zhiyl said that he had received official notice of a Beijing court decision on Sunday. Gao Zhisheng had been missing for more than 18 month until state media reported last month that he had been sent back to prison for three years. The activist lawyer had earlier reported that he had been kidnapped and tortured by Chinese officials. He was sentenced to three years in prison 2006 for inciting subversion. The court did not make him serve sentence but he has been detained without charges almost continually since 2009.
