Election for Member of the House of Councillors was held last Sunday across the country. I worked for this election as an extra stuff because I am a local government worker.There are many varieties of place for election in Japan, but one of most used places is a gymnasium in a school.
We had set several equipments for election in a gymnasium Saturday morning and I took this photo as a record for next election.

Did you count ballots? It must be the hard work as I sometime see TV. The workers sorted them. I wonder you are requred to do as soon as possible but accurately. It's a rare experience, but nice.

Yes, the day's job was very hard. I counted ballots after I worked at a polling place from 6:30AM to 8:00PM. It was 1:30AM when I was released from the hard work. Of course, I receive a good extra payment.
