bike guide for foreigner

I belong to an organization that helps foreigners to ride a bike in Japan. I guided foreigners who visited my area with their bikes in the past several years.

This time, I met an American man who had a plan to ride a bike in Japan. The main purpose of his visit to Japan is to meet with his relatives. He is a Japanese-American.

His request was to help him to buy a bike at a store. Last Sunday, I took him the store that locates near the "JR Space World" station in Yahata-Higashi ward in City of Kitakyushu. Finally, he could get a bike arranged for his needs.

I hope that he enjoys bike trip in Japan.

I have learned this VOA's news yesterday by transcribing it. I always wonder if people in developed countries have bought things at "fair" price from people in developing countries when I hear this kind of news.

In capitalism, people want to get less costly things. But, there is "proper price" for things that is dealt in market, I think. It means that Westerners should buy things with good money that support people's life in developing countries.

"Onga-gawa Gyodou Kouen 2"

Today, I took a video of "Onga-gawa Gyodou Kouen" riding bike along it.  I hope you can feel it by seeing this movie.

It was also fine and I had a short stop at the mouth of Onga-river again. I saw a part of the river mouth weir has been renewed as "Onga-gawa Gyodou Kouen"（遠賀川魚道公園）. It permits small fishes to go up the river

"Osprey"

It was fine and I enjoyed a short cycling after an interval of about three month. I did not ride on my bike during this period because of cold weather and allergy to pollen.

I found a group of people who set digital cameras with telephoto lens at the mouth of Onga-river（遠賀川）. I questioned one of them about what they want to take. He told me that they wanted to take a photo of the moment  that "Misago"（ミサゴ） catches game. He also taught me "Misago" is translated in English, "osprey" that is known for American military plane that has recently been deployed at the American Military Base. The plane's name is from the bird's movement that it can hover when it captures game.

This was a little bit ironic scene that showed peaceful moment of bird watchers, but led to a military word for me.

"Hitoyoshi-Onsen"

Last Saturday, I stayed at an accommodation in Hitoyoshi Onsen (人吉温泉) that locates in the southern part of Kumamoto prefecture with my wife and daughter. This time, my son was not with us because he went to Kansai area (関西地方) with his friend. I am a little bit sorry that the chance thta all my family members share the same time decrease.

"Hitoyoshi Onsen" was one of the place that I want to visit sometime. The purpose of this trip was to heal our  bodies by bathing in onsen and take good dishes.

It took over four hours to reach there from my house by using the high way, so I was slightly tired from it.

Solar Power Generation 2

Several days ago, I received this document that tells me how much money our solar power system earned during a period from Feb.14 to Mar. 13. It was larger than I expected first.
Of course I have expected it earns more next time.

Visual Basic for Applications

I often use the Microsoft's Excel on my business but had never used its advanced function, "Visual Basic for Applications" while being aware of the existence.

I have learned it to apply it to my business since the middle of January. Now, I feel that I get "a strong weapon". I will continue to learn about it to get its more useful function and improve my office work.

Solar Power Generation

The solar power system on our house has started its operation since January 25. I check this monitor to see how much electricity that the system creates every day. In my calculation, it earns about 800 yen when it is fine.

By the way, "Mirai Syounen Konan（未来少年コナン）" is one of my favorite animation movies. About 30 years ago, it was broadcast in NHK's programs and I was looking forward to seeing it every week.

In the story, a big energy called "Taiyou Enerugi（太陽エネルギー）" plays an important part.

About two month ago, I saw a news program that tells that there is "a dream project" in Japan that makes it able to get electricity that is created out of the earth. The theory of the project is almost same to "Mirai Syonen Konan's Taiyou Enerugi". I was a little bit impressed by it.

Japan is a country that does not have a good amount of natural resources. If scientists in Japan establish this technology, Japan get good energy without depending on other countries.

"As It Is"

I lost my drive to transcribe "As It Is" program into a text after I found a website that has the program's texts. I had not thought that there is a website that offers them.

I continue to seek a way to develop my English in other way.
